Abstract
"ADITIVOS DE NANOPARTìCULAS PARCIALMENTE REDUZIDAS PARA BAIXAR A QUANTIDADE DE MONóXIDO DE CARBONO E/OU óXIDO NìTRICO NA FUMAçA DA CORRENTE PRINCIPAL DE UM CIGARRO". Fornece-se composições de carga de corte, cigarros, métodos para fabricar cigarros e métodos para fumar cigarros, que envolvem o uso de aditivos de nanopartículas, parcialmente reduzidos, capazes de atuar como um oxidante para a conversão de monóxido de carbono em dióxido de carbono e/ou como um catalisador para a conversão de monóxido de carbono em dióxido de carbono. As composições, artigos e métodos da invenção podem ser usados para reduzir a quantidade de monóxido de carbono e/ou óxido nítrico presente na fumaça da corrente principal. O aditivo parcialmente reduzido pode ser formado reduzindo parcialmente Fe~ 2~O~ 3~, para produzir uma mistura de várias formas reduzidas tais como Fe~ 3~O~ 4~, FeO e/ou Fe, junto com Fe~ 2~O~ 3~ não reduzido.
