Abstract
"RADIOTELEFONE CELULAR E PROCESSOS DE BUSCAR SINAIS TDMA EM UM RADIOTELEFONE CELULAR E DE IDENTIFICAR UM CANAL DE CONTROLE EM UM RADIOTELEFONE CELULAR". Radiotelefones celulares de múltiplos modos utilizam um modo de recepção de banda larga enquanto explorando por sinais em um modo de recepção de banda estreita. Assim, quando é desejado explorar a banda de freq³ência recebida para busca pela presença de sinais de banda estreita, a largura de banda de receptor mais larga é inicialmente selecionada. Quando energia de sinal significativa é identificada na largura de banda mais larga, uma outra exploração usando o modo de banda estreita pode então ser provida de maneira a localizar o canal de largura de banda estreita que contém o sinal mais forte. Em outra concretização, os sinais que são recebidos no modo de largura de banda mais ampla são digitalizados para obter amostras de sinais complexas. As amostras de sinal complexas são então processadas para determinar a energia em cada uma de uma pluralidade de larguras de banda mais estreitas correspondentes a canais nos padrões de radiotelefonia celular de largura de banda mais estreita. A exploração ou varredura acelerada de canais celulares TDMA pode ser obtida sintonizando o radiotelefone celular com uma sucessão de canais de freq³ência dentro de um intervalo de tempo TDMA e medir a intensidade de sinal para cada um da sucessão de canais de freq³ência. A sintonização e medição é então repetida para remanescentes dos intervalos de tempo TDMA no quadro TDMA, de preferência usando os mesmos canais na mesma ordem. Para cada canal de freq³ência, a intensidade de sinal que é a máxima intensidade de sinal medida do canal de freq³ência em todos os intervalos de tempo TDMA é alocada aquele canal freq³ência. As intensidades de sinal alocadas podem então ser usadas para selecionar um canal de freq³ência para aquisição de sinal TDMA. Informações de histórico também podem ser usadas para acelerar a exploração de canais celulares por um radiotelefone celular.
