Abstract

"BOMBA DE ENGRENAGENS PARA BOMBEAR FLUIDOS ALTAMENTE VISCOSOS". A presente invenção compreende uma bomba de engrenagens exibindo eficiência melhorada ao longo de uma ampla faixa de viscosidades de fluidos e velocidades de bombas incluindo uma zona de compressão definida entre cada parde engrenagens de bomba e paredes internas de uma câmara de engrenagens, sendo que as zonas de compressão têm uma espessura não-uniforme ao longo da direção longitudinal das engrenagens. A geometria da zona de compressão provê um mecanismo através do qual o arraste do fluido viscoso que é induzido pela rotação das engrenagens da bomba carrega o fluido viscoso através de uma folga progressivamente mais estreita no sentido de rotação terminando em uma extração final suave no início da zona de selagem. A geometria da zona de compressão maximiza o arraste e a pressurização do fluido viscoso sendo bombeado para dentro dos dentes das engrenagens, assistindo assim para um completo enchimento dos dente. O resultado é uma eficiência de enchimento melhorada ao longo de uma faixa mais ampla de velocidades de bomba e uma faixa mais ampla de viscosidades de fluidos.
