Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>''COMPOSIçãO APERFEIçOADA DE UM CATALISADOR DE OXIDAçãO SELETIVA PARA USO EM CéLULAS DE COMBUSTìVEL''<D>. A presente invenção diz respeito às formulações aperfeiçoadas de ligas de platina - molibdênio para uso como catalisadores de anódio. Estes eletrocatalisadores encontram utilidade como um constituinte dos eletrodos de difusão gasosa para uso em células de combustível que operam a menos de 180°C ou em aplicações nas quais o hidrogênio é oxidado na presença de monóxido de carbono ou outras substâncias inibidoras de platina. As novas formulações derivam uma atividade inesperada através da criação de partículas de liga altamente dispersadas de até aproximadamente 300Å em suportes de carbono. A atividade desejada é obtida por meio do controle cuidadoso da razão de platina para molibdênio durante a preparação e a seleção judiciosa de uma carga apropriada de liga no suporte de carbono.
