Abstract

"FIBRAS óTICAS REVESTIDAS". Fibras óticas revestidas compreendem uma fibra ótica de vidro e um revestimento curado por radiação formado de uma composição de revestimento líquida curável por radiação. A composição de revestimento líquida compreende pelo menos um oligómero acrilato uretano alifático, pelo menos um composto acrilato ou metacrilato selecionado de um grupo consistindo de isobornil acrilato, isobornil metacrilato, alcanodiol diacrilato, alcanodiol dimetacrilatos, derivados alcoxilados dos mesmos e mistura dos mesmos e um fotoiniciador. Em uma modalidade, as composições incluem ainda um agente de compatibilidade de silicone que reduz o coeficiente de fricção do revestimento curado por radiação, sem efeitos desvantajosos sobre outras propriedades físicas das composições de revestimento líquidas, ou o revestimento curado, e particularmente sem efeitos desvantajosos sobre a claridade ótica das composições de revestimento líquidas. Numa segunda modalidade, as composições de revestimento líquidas ainda contêm pelo menos um agente de compatibilidade de silicone e pelo menos um composto de silicone funcionalizado que reduzem o coeficiente de fricção do revestimento curado por radiação, enquanto as propriedades físicas vantajosas adicionais da composição de revestimento líquida e do revestimento curado, em particular a claridade ótica, são mantidas. A composição de revestimento liquida exibe uma absorção UV a 500nnm relativa à água destilada de menos de aproximadamente 0,04.
