Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"INSPEçãO óTICA DE RECIPIENTES TRANSPARENTES UTILIZANDO ILUMINAçãO VISìVEL INFRAVERMELHA E POLARIZADA"<D>. Energias luminosas infravermelha e visível são direcionadas através de um recipiente para um câmara CCD que é responsiva a ambas as energias luminosas visível e infravermelha. Os polarizadores cruzados ficam posicionados em lados opostos do recipiente e operam na energia luminosa visível de tal forma a bloquear a transmissão de luz visível para a câmara na ausência de varições de tensão no recipiente, as quais alteram a polarização da energia luminosa visível que atravessa o recipiente. Por outro lado, os polarizadores possuem pouco ou nenhum efeito sobre a energia luminosa infravermelha, a qual cria uma intensidade normalmente cinza de luz de fundo na câmara. Desta maneira, a incidência de luz visível na câmara devido às variações de tensão no recipiente aparece como um sinal brilhante contra um fundo normalmente cinza, ao mesmo tempo que o bloqueio da luz infravermelho devido às variações opacas no recipiente aparece como um sinal escuro contra o fundo normalmente cinza.
