Abstract

Patente de Invenção; <B>"PROCESSO PARA PREPARAçãO DE UM CATALISADOR DO TIPO "SHELL""<D>. Processo para preparação de um catalisador do tipo "shell" no qual um material de suporte inorgânico, que tem uma área de superfície BET menor do que 80 M /g, é provido com um "shell" exterior cataliticamente ativo, caracterizado pelo fato de que, inicialmente em uma etapa, uma suspensão de pelo menos um composto de metal nobre que é solúvel em água e um composto de revestimento que é substancialmente insolúvel em água é seca sobre o material de suporte, e depois o material de suporte resultante revestido com um conha externa é ativado em um fluxo de gás de redução. Usando o processo na invenção, é possível revestir um material de suporte não-poroso em uma única etapa de trabalho simultaneamente com material ativo e material de revestimento e produzir velocidades de espaço mais elevadas sem um decréscimo na taxa de conversão durante a hidrogenação seletiva de acetileno em fluxos de gás, usando o catalisador do tipo "shell" resultante.
