Abstract
"TéCNICA PARA FABRICAçãO DE MANGUEIRAS". Mangueiras são freq³entemente reforçadas com tecido para melhorar suas coracterísticas de desempenho, como a resitência ao arrebentamento. Por exemplo, mangueiras de radfiadores usadas em aplicações automoticas são geralmente reforçadas com fios contínuos. Entretanto, é um processo trabalhoso fabricar essas mangueiras que incluem reforços de fibras. Uma quantidade substancial de material desperdiçado geralmente também ocorre na fabricação dessas mangueiras reforçadas com fibras. Com a utilização da técnica desta invenção, mangueiras que têm um alto nível de resistência ao arrebentamento podem ser fabricadas, sem incluir reforços de fios contínuos. Esta invenção revela especificamente um porocesso para a fabricação de uma mangueira, que compreende (1) a extrusão de uma composição de borracha na forma de um tubo, em que a composição de borracha é compoista por (a) uma liga de polietileno/polipropileno composta por (i) polietileno de baixo índice de fusão e (ii) polipropileno, em que o polipropileno é homogeneamente dispersado por todo o polietileno na liga de polipropileno/polietileno, (b) uma borracha EPDM, (c) negro-de-fumo, (d) pelo menos uma agente de cura, (e) óxido de zinco, (f) um óleo de processamento e (g) ácido estéarico; (2) a modelagem do tubo na forma geométrica desejada para a mangueira; e (3) a cura da composição de borracha a uma temperatura dentro da faixa de 130° C a 210° C, para produzir a mangueira.
