Abstract

Patente de Invenção de "BANHO REFRATóRIO PARA PRODUZIR REVESTIMENTOS DE MOLDES", cujo componente principal consiste de materiais inorgânicos granulados finíssimos com qualidades refratária até altamente refratária. O banho refratário apresenta tipicamente um teor de esferas ocas inorgânicas em uma quantidade que vai de 1 a 40% em peso em relação ao banho refratário pronto para o uso. Elas podem conter, além disso, de 0,1 a 10% em peso de fibras orgânicas ou inorgânicas em relação ao banho refratário pronto para o uso. As esferas ocas são enchidas preferecialmente com um gás inerte. Elas podem consistir de óxidos, tais como óxido de alumínio, quartzo, magnesita, mulita, cromita, óxido de zircónico e/ou óxido de titânio; de boretos, carbonetos, nitretos, tais como carboneto de silício, carboneto de titânio, boreto de titânio, nitrito de boro e/ou carboneto de boro; de carbono, vidro ou metais ou misturas dos mesmos. As fibras apresentam um diâmetro de 1 a 30 microns, preferencialmente de 3 a 10 microns e um comprimento de 10 a 5000 microns, preferencialmente de 100 a 500 microns. Quando as fibras são do tipo inorgânico, elas podem consistir de silicatos de alumínio, óxido de alúminio, óxido de titânio, carbono, carboneto de silício, carboneto de titânio, boreto de titânio, nitreto de boro, carboneto de boro, vidro, basalto ou lã mineral ou misturas dos mesmos.
