Abstract

INSERTOS OCULARES DE HIDROGEL SUAVE EMBALADOS A ÚMIDO. A presente invenção refere-se, em geral, a um inserto ocular de hidrogel suave que é composto de pelo menos um material de hidrogel no estado totalmente hidratado e pode ser confortável para uso. O material de hidrogel compreende cadeias poliméricas, que são derivadas de pelo menos um copolímero hidrofílico contendo arilborono e pelo menos um polímero mucoadesivo, e reticulações de éster borônico cíclico para reticular essas cadeias de polímero mucoadesivo e cadeias de copolímero hidrofílico contendo arilborono para formar uma rede polimérica tridimensional. Essas reticulações de éster borônico cíclico podem ser lentamente hidrolisadas na lágrima dos olhos de um paciente, resultando na desintegração (dissolução) da rede polimérica tridimensional e fornecendo, desse modo, polímeros mucoadesivos e opcionalmente fármacos impregnados no inserto ocular de hidrogel de uma maneira controlada.
