Abstract

a presente revelação relaciona-se a métodos de depuração de gás por exposição a elétrons e aparelhos para os mesmos. tais métodos e aparelhos poderiam ser usados para reduzir as emissões prejudiciais criadas pela queima de combustíveis fósseis, por exemplo, para navios de potência. de acordo com um aspecto, é provido um aparelho para depuração por irradiação eletrônica, o referido aparelho compreendendo: um anodo; um catodo uma nanoestrutura localizada entre o referido anodo e o referido catodo, a referida nanoestrutura sendo configurada para emitir elétrons em resposta à presença de um campo elétrico entre o anodo e o catodo quando uma diferença de potencial é estabelecida entre os mesmos; e um alojamento acoplado à referida nanoestrutura e configurado para localizar a nanoestrutura de modo que se estenda para dentro de um recipiente contendo gás a ser depurado de modo que um interior do referido recipiente possa ser exposto aos referidos elétrons. de acordo com aspectos adicionais, são providos sistemas que compreendem tal aparelho e métodos para a sua utilização.
