Abstract
a presente divulgação refere-se, de um modo geral, a fibras de carbono com resistência à tração e módulo de elasticidade elevados, bem como um processo para a fabricação de tais fibras de carbono. o processo compreende a fiação de uma solução de polímero/solvente em um banho de solvente/água na faixa de solvente de 78% ? 85%, produzindo assim uma estrutura de fibra densa, e carbonizando subsequentemente a fibra de precursor de polímero a uma temperatura de carbonização inferior à típica para formar fibras de carbono.
