Abstract
a presente invenção se refere, de modo geral, a micropartículas e, em particular, a sistemas e métodos para encapsulação no interior de micropartículas. em um aspecto, a presente invenção refere-se, em geral, a micropartículas contendo entidades na mesma, em que as entidades contêm um agente que pode ser liberado a partir das micropartículas, por exemplo, via difusão. em alguns casos, o agente pode ser liberado a partir das micropartículas sem a ruptura das micropartículas. as entidades podem ser, por exemplo, partículas poliméricas, partículas de hidrogel, gotículas de fluido etc. as entidades podem estar contidas no interior de um fluido que é, por sua vez, encapsulado no interior das micropartículas. o agente pode ser liberado a partir da entidade no fluido e, então, do fluido até a micropartícula. dessa forma, a liberação do agente a partir da micropartícula pode ser controlada, por exemplo, durante escalas de tempo relativamente longas. outras modalidades da presente invenção referem-se, em geral, a métodos de fabricação de tais micropartículas, métodos para uso de tais micropartículas, dispositivos microfluídicos para a produção de tais micropartículas, e similares.
