Abstract

um método para produzir um poliol com elevado teor de grupos hidroxila primária e um elevado peso molecular médio numérico, inclui a preparação de uma mistura que inclui um catalisador de cianeto metálico duplo e um poliol de poliéter com baixo peso molecular tendo um peso molecular médio numérico menor que 1.000 g/mol. o poliol de poliéter é derivado de óxido de propileno, óxido de etileno ou de óxido de butileno, ajustando-se a mistura para ter uma primeira temperatura, adicionando-se pelo menos uma substância selecionada dentre óxido de propileno, óxido de etileno e óxido de butileno à mistura na primeira temperatura, permitindo-se que a mistura reaja para formar uma mistura reagida, adicionando-se um catalisador de ácido de lewis à mistura reagida, ajustando-se a mistura de reação incluindo o segundo catalisador para ter uma segunda temperatura que é menor que a primeira temperatura, e adicionando-se pelo menos uma substância adicional selecionada dentre óxido de propileno, óxido de etileno e óxido de butileno à mistura reagida na segunda temperatura, de tal modo que um poliol resultante tendo um teor de grupos hidroxila primária de pelo menos 60% e um peso molecular médio numérico maior que 2.500 g/mol seja formado.
