a presente invenção refere-se a um aço inoxidável austenítico resistente ao aquecimento que possui excelentes propriedades de fadiga térmica, caracterizado pelo fato de compreender em massa 0,3-0,6% de c, 0,5-3% de si, 0,5-2% de mn, 15-30% de cr, 6-30% de ni, 0,6-5% de nb, 0,01-0,5% de n, e 0,01-0,5% de s, c/n sendo 4-7 e o restante sendo fe e impurezas inevitáveis; e uma proporção a/b de índice a de formação de carboneto de cr para um índice b de formação de carboneto de nb sendo de 0,6 a 1,7, em que a e b são expressos pela fórmula (1) de a = 8,5c ? nb +0,05cr + 0,65 ni ? 5 e a fórmula (2) de b = 7,8nb.
