Abstract

"REATOR DE TUBO ENVOLVENTE E MéTODO PARA OPERAR UM REATOR DE TUBO ENVOLVENTE". Para realizar reações de fases gasosas catalíticas, provido de um feixe de tubos de contato (8) por onde circula a mistura de gás de reação, o qual apresenta uma carga de catalisador e se estende entre duas placas-suporte de tubos (4, 148), sendo recirculado dentro de uma carcaça circundante do reator (6) por um fluido térmico, bem como provido de cúpulas de entrada e saída de gás (2;60) que cobrem as duas placas-suporte de tubos, para a alimentação do gás de processo até lá e para a evacuação do gás de processo reagido dos tubos de contato, caracterizado pelo fato de ele, incluindo todas as suas peças que ficam em contato com o gás de processo, ser projetado com a estabilidade necessária para suportar pressões de explosão ou até de detonação a serem imputadas pelo seu modo operacional. Preferivelmente, o volume disponível para o gás de processo antes da entrada nos tubos de contato é mantido o menor possível com base em critérios construtivos e hidrodinâmicos. Através do referido reator é possível aumentar a carga do gás de processo para processamento com um componente crítico de explosão, sem correr riscos e ainda de forma mais económica, e ainda por cima atravessar uma área crítica de explosão na composição momentânea do gás
