Abstract

"INIBIDORES DA ALFA-GLUCOSIDASE A PARTIR DE UMA FONTE NATURAL". A presente invenção refere-se a um método para a provisão da inibição da (<244>-glicosidase a um indivíduo através da administração de uma composição farmacêutica que compreende um agente de inibição da <244>glicosidase selecionado a partir de pipatalina (fórmula 1a), sesamina (fórmula 1b), pelitorina (Fórmula 1c), guinensina (Fórmula 1d) e braquistamida-B (fórmula 1e) tendo aplicação terapêutica para diabetes mellitus, câncer, doenças viróticas tais como a hepatite B e C, HIV, AIDS etc.; também a invenção proporciona um processo para o isolamento do referido agente de inibição da <244>-glicosidase a partir da fonte da planta Piper longum em rendimentos significativos.
