Abstract

"ADITIVO PARA TORNAR INERTES COMPOSTOS áCIDOS OU CONTENDO HALOGêNIO, CONTIDOS EM POLìMEROS OLEFìNICOS". Processo para produzir polímeros olefínicos, que compreende as etapas de polimerizar um monómero olefínico numa zona de polimerização na presença de um catalisador compreendendo um composto de metal de transição formando um polímero olefínico, e adicionar, no final ou a jusante da zona de polimerização uma composição tendo peso molecular médio ponderal de pelo menos 100 e contendo um grupo R, um cátion Y, um grupo aniónico -C(R^ 1^)~ 2~-X^ -^ ligado ao grupo R, e opcionalmente um grupo -C(R^ 1^)~ 2~-X-H ligado ao grupo R, sendo que R compreende uma parcela contendo pelo menos um átomo de carbono e pelo menos um heteroátomo selecionado do Grupo 16 da Tabela Periódica dos Elementos, cada R^ 1^ é independentemente hidrogênio ou grupo hidrocarbila de 1 a 20 átomos de carbono, X compreende um elemento selecionado do grupo 16 da Tabela Periódica dos Elementos, Y é selecionado do grupo consistindo de um cátion de um metal selecionado dos Grupos 1 e 2 da Tabela Periódica dos Elementos e um cátion da fórmula [R^ a^~4~M]^ +^ onde M é um elemento do Grupo 15 da Tabela Periódica dos Elementos e R^ a^ em cada ocorrência é independentemente hidrogênio ou grupo hidrocarbila, C é carbono, H é hidrogênio, a composição tendo uma fração molar relativa n de cátions Y e uma fração molar relativa m de grupo -C(R^ 1^)~ 2~-X-H, sendo que 0 < n <243> 1, 0 <243> m < 1, e n + m = 1. Uso de tal composição para tornar inertes quantidades indesejadas de compostos ácidos ou compostos contendo halogênio presentes num polímero olefínico misturando o polímero olefínico intimamente com a composição aditiva.
