Abstract

"POLISSACARìDEOS EXCETO AMIDO". A presente invenção refere-se a composições de arabinoxilano de massa molecular baixa para uso como suplemento dietético e a métodos para melhorar o desempenho de crescimento e utilização do alimento de animais através da suplementação de suas dietas com as referidas composições. Em uma modalidade preferida, o arabinoxilano de massa molecular baixa é derivado a partir de fontes naturais, tal como material de planta e mais preferivelmente de cereais. Eles podem ser frações selecionadas do referido arabinoxilano natural ou pode ser obtido por fragmentação ou despolimerização enzimática e/ou de ácido do referido arabinoxolano natural ou eles podem ser estruturas análogas produzidas por processo físico e/ ou químico.
