Abstract

"FREIO A DISCO". A presente invenção se refere a um freio a disco (1) para veículos terrestres, compreendendo: um disco de freio (2) rotativo com um eixo de rodas (3); um calibrador de freio (4) que está montado de uma maneira movível em um alojamento de eixo de rodas não rotativo disposto em torno do referido eixo de rodas (3); e duas guarnições de freio (5), uma sobre cada lateral do disco de freio (2), as referidas guarnições de freio (5) estando projetadas de uma maneira tal que, quando ativadas por um mecanismo de ativação (8), elas são compelidas a impelir contra as laterais (9) do disco de freio (2) para transmitir um torque de frenagem para o eixo de roda (3). A presente invenção está caracterizada em particular pelo fato de que o referido calibrador de freio (4) compreende dois portadores de guarnição de freio (10, 11) que são axialmente deslocáveis relativamente um ao outro e relativamente ao alojamento de eixo de roda (3); e os portadores de guarnição de freio (10, 11) cada um possui pelo menos uma superfície de ativação (12, 13, 14, 15) para engatamento com o referido mecanismo de ativação (8), como um resultado do qual os portadores de guarnição de freio (10, 11) são deslocados na direção um do outro sob ativação.
