Abstract
"PROCESSO E CATALISADOR PARA DESIDROGENAçãO DE áLCOOIS PRIMáRIOS NA PRODUçãO DE SAIS DE áCIDO CARBOXìLICO". Esta invenção direciona-se a um processo para produção de um sal do ácido carboxílico. O processo compreende o contato de um catalisador com uma mistura alcalina compreendendo um álcool primário. Em uma modalidade, por exemplo, o catalisador compreende um suporte metálico (de preferência um suporte de esponja metálica) com uma fase ativa contendo cobre e sua superfície. O suporte é resistente a deformação sob condições de reação de desidrogenação. Em uma outra modalidade, o catalisador compreende uma esponja metálica com uma fase ativa contendo cobre em sua superfície e uma estrutura de suporte contendo pelo menos 10% de metal não-cobre. Esta invenção também se dirige a catalisadores contendo cobre que podem ser usados no processo acima, por exemplo. Esta invenção dirige-se ainda a processos para produção de tais catalisadores.
