Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA FORMAçãO DE PRODUTO DE CERA HIDROCARBONADA PROVENIENTE DE GáS DE SìNTESE, E, PRODUTO DE CERA HIDROCARBONADA". Processo novo para formação de ceras hidrocarbonadas a partir de gás de síntese é divulgado. Esta invenção ensina o processo por meio do qual a cera Fischer-Tropsch pode ser formulada de tal modo que a maciez da cera conforme definida através de Método de Teste Padrão ASTM para Penetração de ceras com Agulha (ASTM D-1321) pode ser ajustada para dentro da região mais preferida para aplicações de uso final enquanto que simultaneamente se remove impurezas indesejáveis, tais como oxigenados (p.ex., álcoois primários), olefina, e níveis de traços de aromáticos. No reator Fischer-Tropsch, a cera Fischer-Tropsch é formada a partir de gás de síntese na reação catalisada. A cera Fischer-Tropsch é então submetida ao hidroprocessamento relativamente suave sobre catalisador de hidroisomerização mediante condições tais que essencialmente nenhuma conversão do ponto de ebulição é obtida, mas ainda conversões químicas (p.ex., hidrogenação e isomerização suave) ocorrem que rendem produto de cera hidrocarbonada com pureza alta, de dureza reduzida.
