Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "APARELHO E MéTODO PARA TRANSPORTAR GOTAS DE VIDRO PARA UMA MáQUINA DE FORMAçãO DE RECIPIENTES DE VIDRO". Um conjunto de calha inclinado (10) para transportar, por gravidade, as gotas de vidro formável a uma temperatura elevada para uma seção de uma máquina de formação de recipientes de vidro do tipo de 1. S., o conjunto de calha tendo um membro de calha (12) configurado, em seção transversal, genericamente correspondendo àquela de um V que faceia para cima e um coletor (14) pelo menos parcialmente subjacente ao membro de calha e que tem uma configuração, em seção transversal, genericamente correspondendo àquela de um U que faceia para cima. O membro de calha (12) está inserido dentro do coletor parcialmente até o seu fundo, e o coletor tem uma entrada de ar comprimido (14a) para receber o ar comprimido ou de ventilador para fluir ao longo do coletor em um contato de resfriamento com o membro de calha para resfriar o membro de calha e por meio disto reduzir o coeficiente de atrito entre as gotas de vidro que fluem através do conjunto de calha e o seu membro de calha. O membro de calha tem um par de pernas opostas (12a, 12b) juntadas nas suas porções em um laço (12c), as extremidades superiores livres das pernas sendo espaçadas por uma maior distância do que a largura das gotas do maior tamanho em uma ampla faixa de tamanhos de gotas a serem passadas através do conjunto de calha, o laço tendo um raio maior do que a largura das gotas do menor tamanho dentro da faixa de tamanhos. O membro de calha tem uma pluralidade de aberturas (12e) que se estendem através dele, para permitir que o ar comprimido ou de ventilador flua para dentro do coletor para fluir para dentro do membro de calha, para por meio disto resfriar adicionalmente o membro de calha e pelo menos parcialmente levitar as gotas dentro do membro de calha para reduzir adicionalmente as forças de atrito que atuam sobre as gotas conforme elas fluem através do conjunto de calha.
