Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "SìNTESE SELETIVA DIRETA DE PARA-XILENO". Foi descoberto que para-xileno (PX) pode ser sintetizado com seletividade melhorada reagindo-se um composto aromático tal como tolueno e/ou benzeno com um reagente(s) tal como uma combinação de hidrogênio e monóxido de carbono e/ou dióxido de carbono e/ou metanol ou agentes de metilação produzidos a partir daqui. Os sistemas de reação catalítica são empregados, tal como aluminossilicato amorfo ou cristalino tendo estrutura de canal mono-dimensional, aluminossilicatos amorfos ou cristalinos seletivado de para-alquila, aluminossilicatos substituído seletivado de para-alquila, silicatos substituídos amorfos ou cristalinos tendo estrutura de canal mono-dimensional, silicato substituído seletivado de para-alquila, aluminofosfato amorfo ou cristalino, aluminofosfato amorfo ou cristalino seletivado de para-alquila, zeólito de ligação a zeólito seletivado de para-alquila e aluminofosfato substituído seletivado de para-alquila, e misturas deste. Os sistemas de reação catalítica podem ser seletivados com compostos organometálicos, compostos de elementos selecionados dos Grupos 1 até 16, coca, e misturas destes. Empregando este processo, a vida e estabilidade do catalisador são melhorados.
