Abstract

"PROCESSO DE DESPOLIMERIZAçãO E PURIFICAçãO". é aqui exposto um processo para despolimerizar e purificar poliéster pós-consumidor contaminado. No processo, a despolimerização é efetuada por meio de glicólise em um vaso de reator agitado. O processo inclui os estágios de colocar em contato um poliéster contaminado com uma quantidade de um glicol, para fornecer uma razão molar de mais do que cerca de 1 a cerca de 5 unidades de glicol totais para unidades de ácido dicarboxílico totais, em uma temperatura de entre cerca de 150 a cerca de 300<198> C e uma pressão absoluta de cerca de 0,5 a cerca de 3 bar. Esta reação é conduzida por um tempo suficiente para produzir, no reator, uma camada superior tendo um contaminante de densidade relativamente baixa flutuando sobre o topo de uma camada inferior, que inclui um oligómero do poliéster despolimerizado de densidade relativamente alta, e separar a camada superior a partir da camada inferior.
