<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

.Process for dyeing with reactive dyes.
It has been found in the services of the applicant that it is possible to dye fibers, yarns and textile materials of all kinds made from these fibers and these yarns with reactive dyes in a particularly advantageous manner if one together uses an amine corresponding to the formula
EMI1.1
in which R1 and R2 represent one of the methyl, slkenyl or alkinyl radicals optionally substituted or together with N the radical of a five-membered or six-membered heterocyclic ring, and R3 represents an optionally substituted alkinyl radical of bay molecular weight, or else , when R1 and R2 represent methyl radicals or together with N the radical of a five-membered heterocyclic ring, also an optionally substituted low molecular weight alkenyl radical.
The term “reactive dyes” is understood here to mean the usual dyes which incorporate a radical capable of chemically bonding with the fiber. Radicals of this kind carry, for example, a substituent capable of dissociating as an anion, for example a mobile halogen atom or a

The fibers, yarns and textile materials made from these fibers and yarns are mainly substances containing hydroxyl groups, in particular cellulose, and natural or synthetic polyamides.
By dyeing is meant all the measures which usually tend to impart a dye onto textile fibers in a durable manner. This term therefore also includes padding and printing. The amine of formula (I) can be added to the dye bath, padding solution or printing paste. It must be there dissolved or finely dispersed. However, the textile material can also be impregnated with an aqueous, aqueous-organic or organic solution or suspension of the amine and then treated with a dye bath, a padding solution or a printing paste. Finally, the fixing is done in the usual way.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
Another possibility consists in dyeing, scarfing or printing the textile mâtiné according to the usual method and then in fixing the dyeing or printing in the presence of an amine corresponding to formula (I). Polyamide fibers are dyed or fixed above all in a weakly acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline medium, materials containing hydroxyl groups in an alkaline medium.
The amount of amine can vary widely. 0.5 to 20 g, preferably 1 to 5 g, can be added per liter of dye bath, padding solution, printing paste, pretreatment bath or fixing bath. However, an amount less than 0.5 g per liter can already cause a marked improvement in the fixing efficiency. The dyes thus produced are very fast to light, to washing, to sweat, to water, to the fuller, to rubbing and to dry cleaning.
In the following examples, the parts and percentages are understood to be by weight and the temperatures in degrees centigrade.
E xample 1 100 parts of a cotton fabric are padded at room temperature with a 2% solution of the dye "Red Drimarene Z-2B" (CI. Reactive Red No. 17) which contains a trichloropyrimidylamine group and then the mixture is filtered off. cloth so that it retains 75% liquid based on its dry weight and is dried. It is then treated on the Jigger with a solution of 250 parts of anhydrous sodium sulfate, 15 parts of anhydrous sodium carbonate and 3 parts of 1,4-bis-dimethylaminobutene-2 in 1000 parts of water for one hour between 20 and 25.
The fabric is then rinsed cold and hot and then treated for 20 minutes at
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
boiling with a solution of 2 parts of a nonionogenic detergent and rinsed. A brilliant red dye is obtained, endowed with remarkable fastnesses to washing and to water.
The same dye is obtained if the intermediate drying after padding is eliminated.
Example, 2 100 parts of a cotton fabric are padded at room temperature with a 2% solution of the dye "Red Drimarene Z-2B" (CI. It is then treated on the Jigger with a solution of 250 parts of anhydrous sodium sulfate, 15 parts of anhydrous sodium carbonate and 3 parts of 1,4-bis-dimethylaminobutin-2 in 1000 parts of water for one hour between 20 minutes. and 25.

Similar results are obtained when using an amine of the formula
