<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

It is always difficult to empty or transfer the contents of a canister because the liquid outlet flow is always irregular due to difficulties for the air, to enter the canister through the same opening which is used for the liquid outlet.
Especially; the transfer of liquid from one container to another can only be carried out by means of a funnel and often results in liquid losses.
The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback.
It relates to a pouring device for a container closed by a cap screwed onto a pipe, such as a can, characterized in that it comprises a pouring tube removably fixed in the tubing of the container, this pouring tube containing a tube for the container. introduction of air into the receptacle during pouring, which makes it possible to obtain a regular and non-tumultuous exit of the liquid, avoiding any loss of liquid during transfers;:,
According to one characteristic of the invention, the air tube comprises closure means controlled from outside the container, which makes it possible to interrupt the entry of air into this container.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the air tube opens at its upper end through the pouring tube and at its other end inside the container at the upper part of the latter.
According to another embodiment, a closure member makes it possible to control both the outlet of the liquid through the pouring tube and the admission of air into the receptacle, this arrangement being very simple to manufacture and avoiding any encounter between the liquid and the air while ensuring the precise reestablishment of the air pressure in the tank as the liquid exits. ,
According to another characteristic, the closure member is constituted by the pouring spout mounted to rotate in a ring carried at the end of the support tube which fits on the tubing of the container.
According to another embodiment, the pouring spout comprises an orifice through which the flow of the liquid takes place and a groove allowing the admission of air into the receptacle.

The pouring device, according to the invention, represented in FIGS. 1 and 2 is intended to be placed on a current container, of oil or of gasoline, 1 having a pipe 2 threaded externally to allow it to be closed by a screw cap.
The pouring device comprises a pouring tube 3, which is curved and of decreasing diameter as far as its end or spout 4. The large-diameter part of the pouring tube 3 is rectilinear and comprises, at a certain distance from its end, an outer flange. 5. The outside diameter of the rectilinear end part 31 of the pouring tube is a little smaller than the inside diameter of the tubing 2 so that this straight end part 3 of the pouring tube can engage in this tubing 2 until the collar 5 rests on the upper edge of this pipe.
An elastic washer 7 forming a tight seal is interposed between this collar 5 and the upper edge of the pipe 2.
This engagement is ensured by a cap nut 6 screwed onto the external thread of the pipe 2 and the internal rim 61 of which bears on the external flange 5.
In the pouring tube 3 is housed a curved air tube 8, the upper end of which opens out through the pouring tube 3; through an opening 9 The edge of the air tube 8 is for example brazed or welded at 10 to the pouring tube 3.
The air tube 8 is curved so that its end opens into the container 1, in the vicinity of the upper wall 1 of this container, and as far as possible from the pipe 2. This end of the air tube 8 has an internally chamfered edge, so as to form a seat 11 for a metal or rubber sphere 12.
Around the pouring tube 3 and at the height of the orifice 9 of the air tube 8 is fixed a collar 13 extended by two parallel tabs 131, 132 traversed by a bolt 14 forming an articulation axis for a crank 15 housed between these pacts parallels. This crank has, for example, a cylindrical lateral bearing surface 151.
A cable 16 is attached by one of its ends to the obturator ball 12, it passes into the air tube 8, leaves this tube through the orifice 9, passes over the cylindrical lateral bearing surface 15 of the crank. 15 and is fixed, by its other end, to this crank 15.
The pouring device described above is used! as follows:
To empty or transfer a container, the cap closing this container is unscrewed, by turning the assembly, the air tube 8 integral with the tube is engaged in this container via the tubing 2 of the latter, then it is engaged. the rectilinear part 3 of the pouring tube in the pipe 2 until the collar 5 rests on the edge of this pipe. The cap nut 6 is screwed onto the external thread of this tubing so as to deform the elastic seal 7 and ensure the seal.
To pour the contents of the container, the lever 15 is rotated along the arrow Fl, which, as a result, of the rigidity of the cable 16, moves the ball 12 away from its seat 11, and allows the outside air to enter. the container through the opening 9 and the air tube 8. It is then possible, by tilting the container 1, to pour its ontenuity through the tube 3 and the spout 4.
The pouring device thus makes it possible to obtain a regular and non-tumultuous liquid outlet flow rate, which prevents any loss of this liquid in the event of transfer from one receptacle into another having a tubular of small width.
In the case where the container 1 has an internal pipe 20 threaded internally for screwing a stopper (FIG. 3), it is screwed
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
in this thread a connection consisting of a tube 21 with internal and external threads. This tube has on the outside a middle flange 22 by which it bears on the upper wall 11 of the container 1.
The pouring tube 3 is then engaged in the outer part of the tube 21, and this tube is fixed by means of a cap nut 6, as before.
In the device illustrated in Figures 4, 5, 6, the pouring tube 3 is terminated at its lower part by a collar 5 bearing on the seal 7 and held on the pipe by a cap nut 6.
At the end of the support tube 3 connected to the tubing 2 is mounted the tube or - spout itself 32.
The latter can rotate in a ring 23 carried at the upper end of the support tube 31 and thus forms the shutter member.
The rotation of the pouring spout 32 is performed from an operating button 24 carried at the end of this spout.
The ring 23 is inserted between two shoulders 25 and 26 made on the outer periphery of this spout.
The pouring spout 32 has an orifice 27 through which the liquid to be poured is discharged.
It also comprises a groove 28 capable of being brought in front of the opening of the air tube 8 which is welded to the tube 31.
The operation of this device is easily understood.
By operating the button 24, the orifice 27 is brought in, so as to allow the liquid to flow through the spout 32. At the same time, the groove 28 is brought in front of the air tube 8.
A pouring device is thus produced comprising one and the same control member ensuring at the same time the outlet of the liquid, the opening of the air intake and the sealing of the container.
This arrangement ensures a very simple manufacture and avoids any encounter between the liquid and the air, ensures the reestablishment of the air pressure in the tank and the outlet of the liquid, so that the latter, in the tank, is always maintained in atmospheric pressure.
It is obvious that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown above, from which it is possible to provide multiple variants without thereby departing from the scope of the invention.
