<EMI ID=2.1>
uniforme.
<EMI ID=3.1>

<EMI ID=7.1>
<EMI ID=8.1>
<EMI ID=9.1>

textiles, etc.
In known devices for winding
wires, targets, ropes, textiles, etc., the object to be wound is usually led onto the take-up spool
<EMI ID = 2.1>
uniform. For example, intervals are formed between
various turns, or the turns are mounted on top of each other. When a rolled up layer exhibits such defects, it is obvious that subsequent layers can no longer be deposited uniformly. These defects are due to the fact that the rigid guiding of the object to be wound up is carried out either too quickly or too slowly. Rigid guiding of the object to be wound up, adapted exactly to the conditions present and which makes it possible to avoid these defects, cannot in general be obtained by means of known devices.
The invention is based on the fact that an object to be wound up starting from a point located at a great distance is deposited uniformly by itself. This results from the fact that the object to be wound up, when it overlaps the coil deposited previously, places itself in the new position, because it is not subjected to any deflection force disturbing this automatic positioning. The use of winding devices of this kind is, however, not practically possible owing to the large space required for them. By the invention, devices of relatively small dimensions are created, in which the object to be wound up is directed as if it came from an infinite distance; consequently, this object is deposited in a very uniform manner by means of this device.
The invention consists in that either a guide device for the strand of the object to be wound up heading towards the winding drum, either this strand on the guide device, or either the winding drum itself are placed. automatically, directly or indirectly, in the correct position by the lateral forces exerted by the strand which winds up when it overlaps the preceding turn.
For this purpose, for example, the object to be wound up is driven over a guide device for which there is only such a resultant force for the pulls exerted on the object to be wound up, so that the guide device is - even exerts no displacement force on the object to be wound up
<EMI ID = 3.1>
position on the guide, and heading towards the reel, is set in the correct deposit position or itself adjusts this by the lateral forces exerted during the overlap on the preceding coil.
To these conditions corresponds a guiding device which leads the object to be wound towards the drum, on an arc
parabola or an approximately parabolic arc whose
the plane is parallel to the axis of the winding drum and whose focus coincides with the normal projection of the point
output of the object to be wound on the plane of the parabola.
In Figures 1 - 3 are shown, seen from the side and from the front, examples of execution of winders with such guiding devices.
In Figure 1, 1 is the receiving reel, 2 the object to be wound from point 3, 4 the guide device on which the object to be wound is driven. The guide device 4 consists of a paraboloid. The focus 5 of the parabola arc located in the vertical section coincides
with the normal projection of point 3 of exit of the winding coil on the vertical cutting plane of the paraboloid. The power relations in the object to be wound 2, passing
on the guide device 4 are shown in the side view
<EMI ID = 4.1>
bole 6 can be compared to a hollow parabolic mirror, on which the incident rays parallel to the axis of the mirror, for
<EMI ID = 5.1>
the normal projection, coincides with the exit point 3 of the object to be wound up. In this case, according to the laws of re-bending, the direction 7-9 is the biaector of the angle 3 - 7-
<EMI ID = 6.1>
equal tractions acting in the object to be wound up, in directions 3-7 and 7-8, have a resultant acting in the direction of the bisector 7-9 of the angle, such aorta that the object to be wound for each position on the device
<EMI ID = 7.1>
from guidance does not act on it. The displacement of the point of contact of the object to be wound up on the guide device comes solely from the influence of the lateral forces exerted by the object to be wound up when it is deposited on the preceding turn.
Instead of a paraboloid of revolution as a guide device, it is also possible, as shown in figure 2, to use a rail 10 profiled in a parabola on which the guide 11 of the object to be wound up, is fixed by means of rollers. 12.
A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention is shown in Figure 3. In this embodiment, we start from the consideration that in the vicinity of the top of a parabola, the latter can draw practically replaced by an arc of a circle. It is therefore sufficient to drive the object to be wound on the end 13 of a lever
14, the length of which is equal to the half parameter of the para-
<EMI ID = 8.1>
vertex of the parabola by a distance double that between this vertex and the focus 5. The lever 14 is in each position of the object to be wound, according to the explanation given in figure 1, on the bisector of the angle 3-13-8 and it is therefore practically in indifferent equilibrium. It will therefore be placed, during the progressive winding of the parts 8,13 of the object to be wound up, always perpendicular to the axis of the spool and the lever will be placed automatically in the deposit position, by the action of the lateral forces exerted by the object to be wound up during
of the overlap on the previous turn. To obtain tight turns side by side and to balance the slight differences that the conductive point presents in this position between the arc of the oerole and the arc of the parabola, the movement of the lever 14 can be somewhat slowed down. In order to be able to adapt the device to the various given circumstances, it is judicious to make the lever adjustable telesoopically
and to make its axis of rotation movable in all directions.
Another possibility of execution in accordance with the invention of adjusting the position of the guide of the object to be wound up, consists in that the latter is driven on a guide with articulation such that, in each position of the guide by With respect to the winding reel, the length that it contains of the object to be wound up remains constant, so that the object to be wound up, for any position of the guide, is in reality directed perpendicular to the winding reel.
In Figure 4, there is shown such an embodiment, employing an Evans lever; 16 is the lever, 3 is again the exit point of the object to be wound up which unwinds in the lever from 3, passing through 17 to the end 18 of the lever which forms the guide.
The lever is in equilibrium in each position and it therefore does not exert, for any position of the object to be wound up relative to the reel, position adjustment forces on the object to be wound up. It is moved by the lateral forces acting on the latter and the conductor point 18 moves in particular on a straight line parallel to the axis of the winding coil. As can be seen in figure 4a, for a situation of the exit point 3 of the object to be wound up remaining the same, this object always moves perpendicularly
to the take-up reel through point 18.
In FIGS. 1 to 4, examples of execution are shown in accordance with the invention, for which the guide of the object to be wound up is directly and automatically adjusted in the deposit position by the lateral forces acting on the object when it straddles the previous turn.
FIGS. 5 to 8 represent examples of execution of winding devices according to the invention, for which the conducting point of the object to be wound up is automatically adjusted in an indirect manner by the lateral forces by the object to be wound up. wrap.
In Figure 5, 1 is again the winding coil and 2 is the object to be wound. The strand of the object to be wound up 2 is led from the exit point to a nut 21 resting on a right-handed screw 20 and passes there through the guide 22. Next to the nut 21 is another hole 23 which rests on a screw 24 with left thread. On screw 23 is
<EMI ID = 9.1>
mity directed towards the winding spool, a guide 26 for the strand to be wound up and, at the other end, surrounds, like a fork, a stud 27 disposed on the nut 21. The lever is directed by the strand of the object to be wound up 2 in the depositing position so that the object to be wound up always points on the take-up reel at an angle which is somewhat smaller than 90 [deg.]. The nuts 21 and 23 which carry the lever and the guide 22 of the object to be wound up are moved in
the deposit position simultaneously by the threaded shafts. The threaded shaft 20, with right-handed thread is stationary, while the threaded shaft 24 with left-handed thread is movable laterally in its bearings. The two shafts are coupled at one end by the gears 28. The movable threaded shaft 24 carries at its free end a coupling made up of parts 29, 30 and 31.
The coupling discs 30 and 31 rotating on the shaft are connected by means of a variable transmission 32 with the axis of the re-receiving coil which can be driven in a suitable manner.
any property.
The mode of action of the device shown is as follows: The strand of material to be wound 2 passing through the guide
22 is oonduit beyond the axis of rotation 33 of the lever 25 and of the guide 26 towards the receiving reel 1. By this orientation of the strand to be wound up, the lever is prevented from being moved by the. forces acting between the point of origin of the strand to be wound, which is not shown, and the guide,

<EMI ID = 11.1>
die in the direction of deposition and one adjusts by the stud 27 of the nut 21, the nut 23 which is fixed to it, and also the movable threaded shaft 24, so that the latter, according to the adjustment position is connected via disk
29 either to the coupling disc 30 or to the disc 31 and thus the transmission of the rotational movement of the receiving coil to that of the threaded shaft which adjusts the position of the conductive point and of the lever is achieved. At the end of each winding layer, the object to be wound, overlapping, moves the lever to the opposite position, which moves the coupling disc 29 through the lever 25 and the nut 23 and the winding operation continues in the opposite direction of deposition.
FIG. 6 represents an example of execution for which the mechanical device for adjusting the position of <EMI ID = 12.1>

38.39. When moving the guide from right to left (seen in the direction of the object being wound) the lever
25 is directed to the left by the strand of material to be wound which passes through it, whereby, by means of the contacts 34,36 the electromagnet 38 is energized and attracts the core 40 by which the coupling disc 29 . is put in relation with the attack device in the suitable Coupling position for the dep8t sound system. When reversing the direction of

29 in the position currently corresponding to the direction of deposit.
In FIG. 7, an exemplary embodiment has been shown for which the movement of the guide of the strand of the object to be wound up, governed by the action of the object to be wound up under the lever, is transmitted only by electromagnetic means.
In this case, only one nut 42 is used which is on a non-movable threaded shaft 41, this nut carrying the

che, the object to be wound up, reverses the lever 25, so that the contacts 44 and 45 of the circuit 46 are connected so that the coil 57 of the relay 47 comes into action. Because of this, the blades 51 to 53 are placed on the contacts 55, 58, 59 and the direction of the current in the rotor, as well as in the excitation of the motor 48 are reversed, and thus, its direction of rotation is also reversed. , so that the threaded shaft 41 is driven in the new direction of deposition.

gas under pressure, as a function of the deflection of the lever 25 by the action of the lateral forces exerted on it
by the object to be wound up which moves in it.
The lever 25 is here connected with a tap or a reversing valve 60. This valve is inserted in a piston 61 pierced with orifices, which moves in the cylinders.
62 and 63. The pressurized fluid entering the piston 61 through the openings 64 is led into one of the cylinders
62,63 according to the position of the lever 25 set by the object to be wound up. As a result, the piston 61 is gradually pushed out of the cylinder and thus adjusts the guide 22 of the object to be wound up, which is fixed thereto. The control fluid present in the other cylinder is discharged by this movement through the exhaust opening 65.
