P#RFBCTI Jif..1ê.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

P # RFBCTI Jif..1ê. WITH HOT AIR CAZORIT'E7RRS
The invention relates to hot air heaters and relates to improvements to these devices which make it possible to simplify their construction. These improvements consist in forming the body of the heater of all identical elements containing the air ducts and in superimposing them in a variable number depending on the volume of the room to be heated.
The invention also relates to certain accessory arrangements, which will be described more particularly below.
In the attached drawing,
Figure 1 shows a section along a plane passing through the axis of an apparatus according to the invention.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Figure 2 shows one of the elements seen above.
If we refer to the drawing, we see that the heater comprises a base 1 in cast iron receiving the grid 2, the ashtray 3 and the loading hopper 4. TJn shoulder 5 is provided on the upper edge of the part 1 and is intended to receive the first of the elements 6, the grouping of which in series, one above the other, will constitute the heating apparatus proper. Each of the elements 6 is formed of a tubular part of suitable height, one of the ends of which is
1 mites 6, in the embodiment described by way of example, is obtained by the diameter of the body of the element, while
2 the other end has a shoulder 6 allowing the different elements to be assembled with each other and with the base 1 and the cover 7 placed at the top.
This cover carries a pipe 8 for connection with the gas discharge chimney and is provided with a register 9 making it possible to adjust the draft of the appliance.
The ducts 10 intended to heat the air, came from the foundry with the elements 6. These ducts are arranged inclined with upper 11 and lower 12 openings opening onto the outer wall of the element.
Each element has one or more inclined conduits, independent or integral with one another, preferably parallel to each other. The existence of these inclined conduits creates a current of air, the cold air entering through the lower openings 12, heating up as it passes through the conduits and escaping hot into the atmosphere through the upper openings. 11.
In the embodiment shown by way of example in the drawing, each element or ring is provided with two parallel conduits, and all the elements are identical, but it is understood that the number of these conduits could be any and that their arrangement , in the element, could be different from that represented, which would lead in certain cases to obtain non-identical elements.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
To constitute the heater, it suffices to superimpose a suitably chosen number of rings according to the volume of air to be heated and the quantity of fuel used, in order to recover all the heat released by the device.
To recover the greatest possible number of calories contained in the hot gases escaping from the furnace, the rings are superimposed in such a way that the ducts 10, thus placed one above the other, form a baffle. This amounts to saying that the rings are oriented in such a way that the conduits 10 intersect in two neighboring elements.
This arrangement of the ducts therefore obliges the burnt gases to remain for a long time in the chamber formed by the rings, and to give up the greater part of their calories in favor of the different surfaces.
It is understood that the mode of assembly of the various elements between them and the base could be any.
