Fig 1 est une vue en élévation latérale d'une épée de chasse comportant des liaisons établies conformément à l'invention;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Improvements to launching devices ± the shuttle in the looms.
The invention relates to weaving looms; it relates in particular to the devices for launching a shuttle and more especially still to the links of the hunting swords of these trades.
In the most commonly used current arrangements, there are provided, between the hunting swords on the one hand and the mechanisms for controlling their movements on the other hand, links comprising flexible elements, constituted by strips of leather or similar materials. ,,
One of these links, called "pulling leather" is used to control the hunting movement $ and must make it possible to modify at will the value of the impulse communicated to the shuttle, that is to say an easy adjustment of the point. sword attack.
Another link serves to dampen the end-of-stroke shock of the shuttle at the same time as it must allow the o
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
operator to free the shuttle from its box.
Bindings by strips of flexible material - ouir or other - generally adopted, present many disadvantages. Their fixing requires indeed perforations in the body of the sword, which weakens this organ to an appreciable extent; the leather pull is not easily adjustable in position; by virtue of its method of assembly, the second connection influences the precision of the guiding of the cleat and consequently of the selui of the shuttle, which is detrimental to the good erécu- tion of the work.
The flexible connections - leather or other - are moreover subject to frequent breakages high maintenance costs - and many production stops they make - in case of damage or other reason - replacement difficult and at least laborious hunting swords.
The object of the invention is to remedy the drawbacks mentioned.
It consists in. And effect, mainly., To oonsti- tate the control links between the hunting swords of third parties to be tied and the motor mechanisms of these trades, to have recourse to elastic mechanical arrangements, independent of the swords of hunting, and transmitting their movements to these dermieres by means of stops mounted so as to be able to be adjusted at will.
Apart from this main provision, it still consists of certain other provisions, more especially constructive, which are preferably used at the same time, and so that it can be well understood it will be more explicitly described below in conjunction with an example execution practice shown schematically in the accompanying drawings in which:
Fig 1 is a side elevational view of a hunting sword having links established in accordance with the invention;
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Fig 2 is a rear view of this sword and its links.
As it is said, and in sum it is, moreover, represented assuming that, according to the invention, it is desired to connect, for the purpose of controlling its movements, a hunting sword b to the mechanisms or motor organs of a loom of which we have shown the beat a, the cleat a guide rod of this cleat and the bar 1! ci'articulation, by means of an axis o, of the hunting sword b, will be done as follows or in a similar manner.
There is provided a bar e connected, by its end not shown, to the hunting control mechanism of the loom and on the other hand a shoe S which is covered with a lining of leather, or other flexible material, 4, and that the rear face of the sword b is worn, and the hoof 3 and the end of the bar e are connected by two strips of leather or the equivalent 1 and 2, placed on either side of sword b.
@
And to support this shoe 3, at the same time as ensuring its longitudinal position adjustment with respect to the sword b, a bar 5 is applied against its rear face, provided with a longitudinal slot 5 (fig 2) in which are engaged bolts 5 passing through the sabit 5 and securing the latter through the nuts 5.
On the other hand, the bar 5 is, at its lower part, engaged in a sleeve 6 of a yoke 6 articulated on the axis o of the end of the swords b.
The bar 5 is mounted in the bush 6 so as to be able to rotate there on itself, the assembly comprising an elastic element 6 held under tension by a locking bolt 6 engaged in the @ 5.
A spring 16 is provided to keep the sword b in contact with the shoe 3 and to bring it back after launching the shuttle.
And, in this way, the movement control of the sword b will be ensured, without having practiced any perforation, the va-

"Placement of the nabot 5 longitudinally to the bar 5. In addition, the oyatëme is self-compensating for the different elongations of the flexible elements 1 and 2 by rotation on the axis of the bar 5.
To ensure the amorttssenent at the end. of the movement of the shuttle 4 - a lever 9 with a long groove 90 is articulated at an appropriate point on the leaf, d, and for example at 0, carrying on the second hand a basket 10 open with a gasket 11, of leather or the like, and on the other hand a plate 8, secured in position in a mesh manner, on the lever 9 by means of a bolt 9.
In a lateral opening 8 of the plate 8, a rod 7 bearing on the plate 8 is threaded by means of a spring 8 and articulated on the other hand, at its other end, at a suitable point on the front part of the job.
Under these conditions, when the leaf has returned to the rear, the rod 7 causes the oscillation to the right of the

lever 9 and the shoe 10, which moves in the same direction the hunting sword b and the cleat this The shuttle then comes up against the cleat, the ohoo will communicate

to 1 '$ µ6e b and to the shoe 10 by damping in the spring 800.
And finally to allow the operator's desire to detach the shuttle from its box, a lever 18 is placed between the leaf a and the Suidage rod i of the cleat, held between the ép8Ú1e ents * 0 of the cleat c and d ' on the other hand articulated, as clearly visible in fig 1, on the axis 0 serving as a journal for the lever 9. The lever 12 has an extension 12 in the form of a tab, and in the latter are blocked, by

example by lntera intermediary of the nuts shown, two rods 15 and 14 s011àarieées, \ on the other side of the leaf, with a 4th manomvre lever 18 avanta & et18em812t articulated on the axis 0.
The operat'8Ur, by acting on the lever 1D, can, using the lever 12, act on the latch 8 and 'consequently release the
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
shuttle from its box.
As can be seen from the foregoing, thanks to the arrangements of the invention, all the links for the operation of the hunting sword b and for the damping of the end-of-stroke movement of the shuttle are ensured while keeping the sword removes all its resistance and allowing easy and rapid dismantling of this member, simply by loosening the nut 17 retaning it on the axis 0. ,
The amplitude of the impulse imparted to the hunting sword can be very easily and quickly adjusted by simply loosening the nuts 5.
Finally, without it being necessary to touch the aforementioned components, the shuttle can, by operating the lever 15, be rapidly released from its box. It goes without saying, and as has already been suggested, it is understood that the invention cannot be considered as limited to the arrangements more especially described and shown, but that it also includes the variants and changes., Reverdi cations * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * = * = *
