Frame (the motorcycles. The object of the present invention is a frame for motorcycles set up so as to feel as little as possible the vibrations and shocks transmitted by the wheels of the machine.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object. of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a side view; Fig. 4 is a partial side view of a variant, FIG. 5 a partial side view <a second variant: The other figures show details.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3, 6, "7, 8 and 9, the front fork 1 of the motorcycle is articulated as usual to the steering shaft 2 by means of two pairs of. Parts 3 and the said shaft can rotate in the steering tube tion 4 of the rigid frame 5.
The lower end of the steering shaft 2 carries a fixed bush 6 which is integral with a head 7 directed forward and upward and forming a rigid box intended to receive a bracket-clamp which clamps the end of a spring with ti blades. The longitudinal axis (read this spring 9 is located in a plane normal to the axis of the front wheel and passes through the middle (the width of the rim.
The console-flange 8 is. fixed to the spring by uni bolt i.0 and. it can be swiveled inside (the head '7. thanks to an articulation bolt or journal 11.
A key fixing bolt 12; fig. 6 passes transversely through an opening in the. console above spring e1:
through urn opening i3 of the head @. This opening is. concentric with the chub 1i. The console can be adjusted in the head i using a stop screw. 14 so as to allow adjustment of the spring tension according to the load it will have to. support. Once done, bolt 12 is tightened against the key side faces 1a.
head ï.
The use of a central head I instead (the cross head allows the use of a single spring, and thus avoids the lateral rollover resulting from the irregular action of the two springs ordinarily employed. The eye of the spring roll 9 is attached to the lower end of a U-shaped clevis 15 .
