Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polyimiden durch Polykonden­ sation von davor hergestellten stöchiometrischen Salzen aus Polycarbonsäuren oder deren Polyanhydriden und Polyaminen in Wasser als Lösungsmittel mittels Erhitzen der Salze unter Druck auf eine Temperatur >100 °C mit dem Kennzeichen, dass a) das Reaktionsgemisch während der Polykondensation unter Ausübung von Scher­ kraft gerührt wird; und b) das Polyimid in Form von Plättchen mit Dimensionen im Mikrometerbereich herge­ stellt wird, in denen die Polymerketten in Querrichtung zur Plättchenebene angeordnet sind.
