Abstract

Ein Verfahren und System zur nicht-invasiven Reduzierung von vaskulärem Plaque, das die Schritte des Abbildens wenigstens eines Teils eines Säugetierkörpers zur Erzeugung eines Bildes, das Bestimmen des Ortes von wenigstens einem vaskulären Plaque in dem Bild; das Ermitteln des Ortes der Basis des vaskulären Plaques, wobei der Ort der Basis der Zielort sein soll; das präzise Bestimmen der relativen Position des Zielortes hinsichtlich des Herzrhythmus in dem Körper; die Abgabe eines Strahls an Ultraschallenergiewellen aus einer Quelle zu der relativen Position, um die Temperatur des Zielortes auf eine vorbestimmte Art und Weise zu erhöhen; Überwachen der Temperatur des Zielortes; und Unterbrechen der Abgabe der Ultraschallenergiewellen, wenn der Zielort eine vorbestimmte eingestellte Temperatur erreicht hat.
