   Man kann diesen aber auch in der Weise herstellen, dass man den getrockneten Farbstoff mit sulfierenden Mitteln behandelt. Die Sulfierungsmethode schliesst sich eng ail die Darstellung   der Indigosulfosäurc an ;   überhaupt erinnert der neue Farbsteff in seinen Eigenschaften an den Indigo, mit dem er auch in seiner Zusammensetzung eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit zeigt. Sie wird vermutlich durch folgende Formel wiedergegeben :
