Pipe or hose connection.
The present invention is intended for pipe or hose connections known per se, in which an elastic sealing ring is rolled into a gap between the two connecting pieces, the outer hollow of which is conical, and pressed against the narrower part of the gap when there is a corresponding internal or external overpressure becomes.
While in known pipe or hose connections the coupling was done by pressing the sealing ring into the tapering space which is bounded by the hollow cone of the outer connecting piece and the outer cylindrical pipe wall of the inner connecting piece, the latter appears conical in the subject matter of the invention. In the closed state of the coupling, the sealing ring presses on this cone and thereby creates an axial force that secures the connection of the two pipe or hose parts to an increased extent. The present coupling is particularly advantageous for pipes with excess pressure, for compressed air, steam or the like, but also for the proper coupling of water, gas and other pipes.
1 of the accompanying drawing shows a longitudinal section through the two pipe connection pieces I.
EMI1.1
and FIG. 3 shows a longitudinal section through the pipe connection in the pushed together, closed state.
With a the wall of the outer connecting piece is designated, with b that of the inner, with c the elastic sealing ring, with d the sleeve used to close the coupling, with e the nose of this sleeve, which snaps into a corresponding recess of the bayonet lock f, and with g the direction of pressure when coupling. The hollow cone of the pipe connector 1 is denoted by i, the pipe cone of the inner connecting piece 11 by h. The sealing ring c is clamped and rolled up under axial pressure between A and t, and in this way careful coupling and sealing is achieved.
