Rohrverbindung.

Pipe connection.
The known pipe screw connections with metallic ball or cone seals, in particular those with union nut (Holländer), usually have the particular disadvantage that after loosening the union nut, the connecting or intermediate piece provided between the pipe ends and with its ends resting on the sealing surfaces of the pipe ends In the case of inelastic or walled-in pipes, they cannot be replaced and properly ground in.
The subject matter of the invention avoids these disadvantages in that the intermediate piece or the like, which jointly seals both pipe ends or pipe connection pieces, in the state of contact of its sealing surfaces with the sealing surfaces of the two pipe ends or pipe connection pieces after loosening or lateral displacement of the fastening nut not only around the The pipe axis can be rotated as required, but can also be lifted off the sealing surfaces by displacement in the direction of the pipe axis, so that the latter can be exposed and properly ground in by rotating the intermediate piece while simultaneously pressing it in the direction of the pipe axis.
In the drawing, some exemplary embodiments of the subject invention are partially shown in section, u. Between. Fig. 1 shows an arrangement in which the intermediate piece is at the same time a union nut, while FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate embodiments with a union nut separated from the intermediate piece.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the two pipe connection pieces are. ? and 2, which have conical sealing surfaces 3 and 4, connected to one another by a union nut 5, which is pressed against the thickened end of the pipe connection piece 1 by the nut 6 and is pulled against the thickened end of the pipe connection piece 2 by means of the nut 7, so that their sealing surfaces pressed onto the sealing surfaces 3 and 4. Since the nut 7 can slide loosely on the neck of the pipe connection piece 2, the sealing surfaces of the union nut 5 can be ground onto the sealing surfaces 3 and 4 corresponding to them.
According to the embodiment according to FIG. 2, a separate threadless intermediate piece 13 is the carrier of the sealing surfaces, which has the advantage that the union nut 14 is only subjected to tension, but is not exposed to the medium pressure. The union nut 14 is screwed onto the external thread of the nut 8 here. Annular grooves 28 are worked into the pipe connection pieces 1 and 2 here.
As a result of this reduction in the size of the contact surfaces, when the pipe connection is tightened, the surface pressure and thus the tightness of the pipe connection are significantly increased without the ability to remove the intermediate piece being impaired.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the two sealing surfaces 9 and 10 of the intermediate piece 11 form oppositely tapering conical surfaces. With this arrangement, the inventor aims to ensure that the mating surfaces are not pressed apart by the pressure of the medium, but rather pressed together. In contrast to the embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the pipe connection piece 12 therefore has a
Inner cone.
