Fig. 1 ist eine Seitenansicht, Fig. 2 eine Vorderansicht.

Tapping clamp for pipelines.
The invention relates to a tapping saddle which is used in a known manner for connecting branch lines to a main pipe string, e.g. B. a water pipe is used. The aim of the invention is to create a clamp that has the advantage over the known ones that it essentially evenly distributes the contact pressure on the wall of the main pipeline over a relatively large area, so that excessive local stresses on the pipe wall are avoided. According to the invention, the clamp sealing the nipple for the branch line against the main pipeline consists of a sheet metal sleeve, preferably made of stainless material, e.g. B. steel.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 is a side view, Fig. 2 is a front view.
The main pipe 1 is enclosed by a sheet metal sleeve 2, preferably made of stainless steel sheet, in the bent ends 3 of which iron strips 4 are inserted, the cross section of which is precisely matched to the curvature of the sleeve ends. The strips 4 essentially run over the entire length of the cuff and in this way ensure that the contact pressure exerted by the head screw screwed into the lower strip 4 is evenly distributed over the length of the cuff. The connection nipple 6 for the branch line, which passes through an opening 7 in the cuff 2, continues downward into a type of saddle 8, which has an approximately sickle-shaped cross section and is enclosed by the cuff.
By virtue of this cross-section it is achieved that the nipple attaches itself to the inside
