Abstract

Se describen composiciones y métodos que se refieren a levadura modificada que sobreexpresa fumarato reductasa. Las células de levadura tienen una tasa de fermentación aumentada en comparación con sus células parentales. Tales células de levadura son particularmente útiles para la producción a gran escala de etanol a partir de sustratos de almidón donde es deseable una tasa aumentada de producción de etanol.
