Abstract

Las modalidades de la presente invención proporcionan sistemas de fermentación novedosos y de bajo costo y métodos para su uso; mas específicamente, la presente invención proporciona sistemas de reactores biológicos para fermentar una amplia variedad, por ejemplo, de microorganismos de bionivel 1 con densidades celulares muy elevadas; los sistemas de reactores se pueden utilizar para cultivar levadura, hongos y bacterias así como cultivar sus productos secundarios; en modalidades específicas, los sistemas de reactores se utilizan para la producción de composiciones a base de levadura; en ciertas modalidades específicas, los sistemas de reactores se pueden utilizar para la producción de composiciones de levadura Starmerella bombicola.
