Abstract

La presente descripción se relaciona con un animal transgénico y un embrión transgénico que producen componentes de una nucleasa de diseño mediante ingeniería. De acuerdo con la divulgación de la presente descripción, el animal transgénico (o embrión) que produce los componentes de una nucleasa de diseño mediante ingeniería es un animal (o embrión) transgénico que incluye una primera célula que tiene un genoma que incluye una primera caja de herramientas; y una segunda célula que tiene un genoma que incluye una segunda caja de herramientas, en donde la primera caja de herramientas y la segunda caja de herramientas incluyen al menos uno de un polinucleótido que codifica una endonucleasa guiada por ARN y un polinucleótido que codifica un ácido nucleico guía que es capaz de unirse específicamente a un sitio diana, respectivamente, en donde la primera caja de herramientas está presente en un primer locus del genoma de la primera célula; la segunda caja de herramientas está presente en un segundo locus del genoma de la segunda célula; y el primer locus es diferente del segundo locus.
