Abstract

La presente se refiere a un catalizador metaloceno a base de un metal de transición de los grupos 4 ó 5 de la tabla periódica soportando sobre un soporte catalítico híbrido que tiene grupos orgánicos alifáticos. También se describe un proceso para soportar el metaloceno sobre dicho soporte catalítico híbrido que tiene grupos orgánicos alifáticos. El catalizador metaloceno soportado de la presente presenta como principal ventaja el hecho de producir un polímero de etileno con distribución de masa molar amplia o bimodal utilizando solamente un tipo de complejo metaloceno sobre el soporte. Como resultado, se obtiene una mejor procesabilidad de la resina obtenida y, por lo tanto, una potencial reducción del costo de procesamiento.
