Abstract

Composiciones de acero que contienen adiciones de microaleacion de boro y titanio, con una resistencia a la traccion de por lo menos 100 ksi (690 MPa), excelente rigidez y buena capacidad de soldadura. Las adiciones de boro son utilizadas para incrementar el endurecimiento. Es posible agregar formadores de nitruros fuertes, como titanio, a la composicion de acero en orden a impedir la formacion de nitruros de boro. Estas composiciones pueden ser enfriadas por laminado en caliente en aire o por aplicacion de un enfriamiento acelerado. Luego del enfriamiento en aire, la composicion puede ser apagada o apagada y templada. Las composiciones resultan adecuadas para canos de alta resistencia (por ejemplo, X100 en la norma API 5L) y otras aplicaciones. Reivindicacion 9: Un método de fabricacion de una composicion de acero, que comprende: proveer una composicion de acero que comprende: aproximadamente entre 0,04 y 0,12 % en peso de carbono (C); aproximadamente entre 0,8 y 1,6 % en peso de manganeso (Mn); aproximadamente entre 0,05 y 0,3 % en peso de silicio (Si); menos o hasta aproximadamente 0,5 % en peso de níquel (Ni); menos o hasta aproximadamente 0,5 % en peso de cromo (Cr); menos o hasta aproximadamente 0,5 % en peso de molibdeno (Mo); menos o hasta aproximadamente entre 0,15 % en peso de vanadio (V); menos o hasta aproximadamente entre 0,05 % en peso de niobio (Nb); aproximadamente entre 0,01 y 0,03 % en peso de titanio (Ti); aproximadamente entre 0,0005 y 0,0030 % en peso de boro (B); y menos o hasta 0,008 % en peso de nitrogeno (N); en tanto la concentracion de cada elemento se basa en el peso total de la composicion de acero y se mantienen aproximadamente entre 0,0005 y 0,002 % en peso de boro en solucion solida para mejorar la dureza; colar la composicion de acero, en tanto sustancialmente todo el nitrogeno en la composicion de acero colada está presente en forma de partículas de TiN con un tamano inferior a aproximadamente 50 nm para impedir la formacion de nitruros de boro y lograr dicho contenido de boro en solucion solida; laminar en caliente la composicion de acero colada; y enfriar la composicion de acero colada directamente luego del laminado en caliente a una velocidad que oscila aproximadamente entre 5 y 50°C/segundo.
