Abstract
Procesos para preparar y purificar decitabina y procesos para preparar una forma cristalina de la decitabina. Decitabina pura. Reivindicacion 1: Un proceso para preparar decitabina, caracterizado porque comprende a) sililar 5-azacitosina en un solvente de nitrilo para producir un compuesto de formula (1) donde cada R es independientemente un grupo alquilo C1-6 opcionalmente sustituido; b) unir el compuesto de formula (1) con entre aproximadamente 0,9 y aproximadamente 1,2 equivalentes molares de un compuesto de formula (2) por equivalente molar del compuesto de formula (1) donde R1 representa un grupo alquilo que tiene entre 1 y 6 átomos de carbono, y donde cada R2 es independientemente un grupo acilo o arilo opcionalmente sustituido, en presencia de entre aproximadamente 1 y aproximadamente 1,2 equivalentes molares de un ácido de Lewis no metálico por equivalente molar del compuesto de formula (1), y con un solvente orgánico, para proveer un compuesto enriquecido en el anomero b de formula (3); y c) desproteger el compuesto de formula (3) para obtener la decitabina.
