Abstract
Aislamiento, purificacion, caracterizacion y uso del gen de proteína quinasa vegetal relacionado con Snf1 (SnRK) y los productos genéticos, incluye ADN de SnRK purificado y aislado y se refiere a métodos de regulacion de pérdida de agua y tolerancia de los vegetales a la sequía, contenido de sucrosa, contenido de almidon, contenido de aceite de semillas, síntesis de ácidos grasos, composicion de acilo del aceite de semillas, tamano/peso de las semillas, resistencia/tolerancia a los esfuerzos bioticos, biomasa radicular aumentada, y/o flujo de carbono hacia otros componentes de la semilla, la planta, el uso del gen, y a tejidos y plantas transformados con el gen. Se refiere también a plantas transgénicas, tejidos de vegetales y semillas de vegetales que poseen un genoma que contiene una secuencia de ADN introducida, y un método para producir dichas plantas y semillas de plantas. Se provee además un proceso para extraer aceite de las semillas transgénicas y el aceite obtenido a través de dicho proceso.
