Abstract
Una planta de soja transgénica que produce semillas con actividad reducida de lipoxigenasas de semilla, en comparacion con una planta de soja que expresa actividad tipo salvaje de lipoxigenasas de semilla nativas, donde la plana de soja transgénica contiene un fragmento de ácido nucleico de al menos una porcion de al menos un gen de lipoxiganasa de semilla de soja, donde el fragmento de ácido nucleico es capaz de suprimir la expresion de lipoxigenasas de semilla nativas y ha sido introducido en la planta de soja por transformacion. También una planta de soja transgénica que produce semillas con actividad reducida e lipoxigenasas de semilla y de una segunda enzima nativa en comparacion con una planta de soja que expresa actividad tipo salvaje de lipoxigenasas de semillas nativa y la segunda enzima nativa, dicha planta de soja transgénica contiene un primer fragmento de ácido nucleico de al menos una porcion de al menos un gen de lipoxigenasa de semilla de soja, donde el primer fragmento de ácido nucleico es capaz de suprimir la expresion de dichas lipoxigenasas de semilla nativas, y un segundo fragmento de ácido nucleico de al menos una porcion de al menos un gen de la segunda enzima nativa, donde el segundo fragmento de ácido nucleico es capaz de suprimir la expresion de la segunda enzima nativa, donde el primer fragmento de ácido nucleico y el segundo fragmento de ácido nucleico han sido introducidos en la planta de soja por transformacion, y donde la segunda enzima se selecciona del grupo que consiste en una enzima de la vía de oxidacion de lípidos, la vía de desaturacion de ácidos grasos, la vía de los fenilpropanoides, la vía de los triterpenoides, y combinaciones de estas. También métodos para suprimir la actividad tipo salvaje de lipoxigenasas de semilla nativas de soja sola o en combinacion con la supresion de una segunda enzima nativa, así como productos prácticos preparados a partir de los granos de soja de dichas plantas.
