Abstract

La presente solicitud provee un motor de combustion interna que provee ventajas tanto de los motores de dos tiempos típicos como de los motores de cuatro tiempos típicos, pero que utiliza un nuevo diseno que es diferente del de los dos tipos. El motor de la presente provee el uso de pistones como medios para abrir y cerrar lumbreras de admision y de escape, dispuestas sobre las paredes de los cilindros. También provee dos pistones por cilindro en una configuracion de oposicion, de modo tal que un acontecimiento de explosion de combustible produce el movimiento de ambos pistones por cilindro, en direcciones opuestas. Cada piston de un cilindro está conectado a un cigüenal por separado, que completa una revolucion individual alrededor de su eje geométrico por cada acontecimiento de explosion de combustible en un cilindro. En un ciclo individual de movimiento de piston a lo largo del cilindro, se logra un ciclo completo de encendido, escape, admision y compresion.
