Abstract

El presente provee nuevos cristales de ácido 2alfa-metil-2beta-[(1,2,3-triazol-1-il)metil]penam-3alfa-carboxílico-benz-hidril-éster (TMPB)-acetona para su uso en la producción de ácido 2alfa-metil-2beta-[(1,2,3-triazol-1-il)metil]penam-3alfa- carboxílico 1,1-dióxido benz-hidril-éster (TAZB); un procedimiento para producir los cristales de TMPB-acetona que comprende los pasos de (A) concentrar una solución solvente orgánico con contenido de TMPB, (B) disolver el concentrado resultante en acetona, y (C) precipitar cristales de TMPB-acetona a partir de la solución de acetona obtenida de esta manera; y un procedimiento para producir TAZB que comprende el paso de hacer reaccionar los cristales de TMPB-acetona con un agente oxidante.
