Abstract

Un procedimiento para la producción de compuestos de la fórmula general (1), en organismos transgénicos con un contenido de por lo menos 1% en peso de dichos compuestos respecto al contenido de lípidos total de dicho organismo, que comprende las etapas siguientes: a) introducción de por lo menos una secuencia de ácido nucleico en un organismo transgénico codificando a una delta-9-elongasa, y b) introducción de por lo menos una segunda secuencia de ácido nucleico codificando a una delta-8-desaturasa, y c) si es necesario, se introduce por lo menos una tercer secuencia de ácido nucleico codificando a una delta-5-desaturasa, y d) cultivo y recolección de dicho organismo; y en donde las variables y sustituyentes en la fórmula (1) poseen los significados siguientes: R1 = hidroxilo, Coenzima A-(Tioéster) fosfatidilcolina, fosfatidiletanolamina, fosfatidilglicerol, difosfatidilglicerol, fosfadilserina, fosfatidilinositol, esfingolípido, glicoshingolípido o un residuo de la fórmula general (2), R2 = hidrógeno, fosfatidilcolina, fosfatidiletanolamina, fosfatidilglierol, difosfatidilglierol, fosfadilserina, fosfatidilinositol, esingolípido, glicoshingolípido o un alquilamino C2-24 saturado o no saturado, R3 = hidrógeno, alquilcarbonilo C2-24 saturado o R2 y R3 independientemente entre sí son un residuo de la fórmula (3), donde n = 3, 4 ó 6, m = 3, 4 ó 5 y p = 0 ó 3, preferentemente = 3, m = 4 ó 5 y p = 0 ó 3. Secuencia de ácido nucleico específicas codificando proteínas con actividad delta-8-desaturasa, delta-9-elongasa o delta-desaturasa, constructos de ácido nucleico, vectores y organismos conteniendo dichas secuencias de ácido nucleico.
