Abstract
Un proceso para la preparación de un compuesto imidazo-tetrazin-4-ona de la fórmula (1) en la cual R es un grupo alquilo C1-6, que comprende la reacción de un compuesto de la fórmula (2) en la cual R es como se lo definiera anteriormente, con un agente de oxidación/ciclación en presencia de un ioduro, en un medio inerte, bajo atmósfera inerte y a una temperatura y durante un lapso suficientes para producir un compuesto de la fórmula (1), donde dicho ioduro es soluble en dicho medio inerte, y un proceso para la preparación de la temozolomida e intermediarios. Antitumoral.
