Abstract

Compuestos de la formula 1 donde R1 y R2 son, independientemente uno de otro, H, C1-6 alquilo, C1-6 halogenoalquilo, C1-6 alcoxi, C1-6 alcoxi-C1-6 alquilo, o C1-6 alcoxi-C1-6 alquiloxi, y R3 es C1-6 alquilo son obtenibles en altos rendimientos por medio de la adicion estereoselectiva de ésteres de ácido propionico R3-sustituídos a R1 y R2 benzaldehidos sustituídos de la formula R-CHO para formar los ésteres de ácido propionico 3-R-3-hidroxi-2-R3 correspondientes, la conversion del grupo OH en un grupo saliente, la eliminacion regioselectiva subsiguiente para formar ésteres de ácido propénico 3-R-2-R3 y la reduccion a los alcoholes 3-R-2-R3-allil y su hidrogenacion enantioselectiva, donde R es (a).
